What’s your target audience?
It’s that time of year when you look at the presents you’d like to give others, and knowing how some of our better publishers are petrol heads, I was looking into the latest designer Lambourghini.
Now to say this car is stylish and fast is a bit of an understatement. You can see all the gory details here
Top speed of 223 mph, 0-62 in 3.2 seconds blah, blah blah.
The car is ONLY $693,000 (think I might buy two), but being the intrepid ad relevancy guru I tittered to myself to see the poignancy of the ads showing underneath the pictures.
Now this throws up a whole bunch of questions.
1. That car is expensive but can you imagine driving it home to your trailer park?
2. How many payday loans would you need to get to buy a $700k car?
3. Where would you put the 7 kids and 2 dogs?
4. Why on earth would you show payday loan ads on a page with a $700k car?
5. Does it come in any other colours other than black?
6. Will you be able to put it on a removal truck when you leave the trailer park at midnight?
Call me fussy, but why spend that sort of money for a car that would make everyone think you were a Dark Knight wannabe, you’ve inherited the money from a rich relative, you won the lottery or you are a pimp.
